Sidelines Sports Teams
Sidelines Sports Bar has sponsored a
number of sports team in our community—softball, pool, bowling,
just to name a few. As Ft. Lauderdale’s premier gay sports bar,
we encourage this sense of community and responsibility which also help
to support a variety of charitable causes. Please come out and support
our teams as they represent you in a competitive and positive manner.

South Florida Athletic Amateur Association (SFAAA)
The South Florida Amateur Athletic Association (SFAAA),
is a gay and lesbian softball league committed to providing an organization
for both gay and non-gay participants to compete in an environment conducive
to the gay community with an opportunity to compete on a national, and
international level with other slow pitch softball leagues across the
country and around the world.

NAGAAA - Gay Softball
World Series
Created in 1977, the North American Gay Amateur Athletic
Alliance (NAGAAA) is a 501c(3) organization that promotes amateur
sports competition, particularly softball, for all persons regardless
of age, sexual orientation or preference, with special emphasis
on the participation of members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual
and transgender (GLBT) community: and to otherwise foster national
and international sports competition by planning, promoting and
carrying out amateur sports competition.
NAGAAA's current membership includes over 680
teams from 37 leagues throughout the United States and Canada.
Teams representing these leagues participate annually in NAGAAA's
Gay Softball World Series (GSWS), hosted each year by a different
member city.
Gay Softball World Series
2011
Chicago, IL is the host city for this year’s
Gay Softball World Series. Both the Sidelines Cyclones and the
Sidelines Eagles will be vying for the championship trophy in
their respective divisions. Good Luck to both teams!

The SMART Ride is an event where 100% of pledges raised
go back to the communities to be used for direct services for individuals
infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
