Fort Lauderdale, Florida – June 5, 2007 – The Sidelines Cyclones, one of five Sidelines Sports Bar’s sponsored softball teams took first place in their division’s playoffs after a grueling five-game stand for the final win last Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Mills Pond Park. This is the first divisional playoff win for the Cyclones and catapults them for a bid at the 2007 North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA) World Series in Phoenix, AZ in October.

The Cyclones are members of the South Florida Amateur Athletic Association’s (SFAAA) Open C Division, which consists of both men and women, gay and non-gay coaches, players, scorekeepers and fans. The team began playing together last September and has consistently improved each and every week. On Sundays, during the season, between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., you would find these weekend warriors battling for trophies, titles, and bragging rights. Finally on Sunday, their hard work and competitiveness paid off and dreams of glory came true by way of a 15 to 8 win over the Tropics Blues.
