Sidelines Sports Bar Sponsors Paladins’ Dart Tournament

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – June 27, 2008 – Sidelines Sports Bar will play host to the Paladin Athletic Organization’s first dart tournament & fundraiser on Saturday, July 12, 2008 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The tournament is open to all regardless of their level of expertise. Registration for the tournament begins at 12:30 pm and players will be required to pay a $15.00 entry fee. Prizes will awarded and of course, don’t forget Sidelines Sports Bar happy hour 2-for-1 drink special will be available all day from noon to 9:00 pm.

The Paladins Athletic Organization was formed in 2003 by a small group of men and women who enjoy playing co-ed softball. That rag tag team that began in 2003 has today blossomed into a healthy and successful non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and nurturing of amateur athletics for all persons with special emphasis on the participation of members of the GLBT community. They currently have five teams playing amateur softball in the city’s various gay leagues. One such team, the Paladin Knights, recently won a berth in the upcoming North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance’s (NAGAAA) Gay Softball World Series to be held on August 22 – 30, 2008 in Seattle, Washington. Proceeds from the dart tournament will aid in getting the Knights to Seattle.
