Fort Lauderdale, Florida – May 29, 2007 – Sidelines Sports Bar will be the host of a benefit party to help in the recuperation of one of the community’s long-loved bartenders, Ms. Lynn Ortiz. Lynn recently underwent quadruple bypass surgery and will need to recuperate at home for the next twelve weeks. This recovery period will, of course, be without the benefit of income to cover her ever-mounting medical bills. The benefit will be held at Sidelines on Wednesday, June 6th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The event is being organized by some of Lynn’s closest friends, including two of Sidelines’ very popular bartenders, Frank and Ryan. There will be a silent auction with prizes including artwork and a raffle for numerous giveaways and bar gifts, as well as cocktail hors d’ oeuvres, which have all been donated by various local merchants. Donations will be taken at the event on Wednesday, June 6th and Sidelines will offer 2-4-1 drinks during the party and throughout the night.

“Lynn has always been the first to come to the rescue of others and volunteered for many charitable events. Now, we as a community, wish to give back to Lynn”, states Frank. The organizers of the event anticipate a large crowd of friends, past customers and industry personalities.
