9-BALL TAKES OVER DURING OFF SEASON!

Now that the Q-Ball Pool League’s winter season is coming to a close, Sidelines Sports Bar will host 9-Ball Pool Tournaments during the off season every Tuesday at 8:00 PM. From Tuesday, May 13, 2008 until the start of the summer season in July, pool aficionados won’t have to miss out on some friendly competition while sharpening their skills on one of the three Sidelines’ pool tables.

The matches will be limited to the first 16 players that enter. Games will be played in single elimination tournament style and winners will receive cash prizes and a bar tab each week. Full details will be announced on game day, May 13, 2008.

ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END!

One of the original members of the Sidelines’ Team, Jason Leaks, will be leaving us soon to move to Tampa and resume his college education. “J”, as we liked to call him, began working at Sidelines on our custodial team, making sure all was spic and span for our loyal customers and dedicated sports fans. Later, he was promoted to a senior bar back, as well as keeping the early morning ritual of maintaining the bar. His friendly rapport with customers, employees, and everyone, along with his welcoming smile gave proof to Jason’s big warm heart. He will surely be missed, but will never be forgotten.

On Thursday, May 22 at 9:00 Pm, the staff and management of Sidelines will bid farewell to “J” at his Going Away Party. Everyone is invited to Sidelines Sports Bar to say adieu.

Gay sports fans can now enjoy watching their favorite teams play on one of the many giant flat-screen TV’s while relaxing with friends or playing a round of darts or pool. Sidelines Sports Bar continues to provide a fun and comfortable environment for gay men and women in South Florida.
