Fort Lauderdale, Florida – April 24, 2008 - Sidelines Sports Bar’s co-owner, Laurie Whittaker, made it official today when she accepted the invitation from the Board of Directors of Pride South Florida to join them in promoting positive images and enriching the lives of GLBT people in the community by working together to achieve common goals.

Laurie, an attorney and co-owner of the popular gay sports bar, comes to the Pride Board with many years as a resident of South Florida and a longtime commitment as a gay woman to actively promote and support our community. She will assist the board in promoting charitable activities, educational programs, and cultural arts in the South Florida community.
