Fort Lauderdale, Florida – April 19, 2008 - Sidelines Sports Bar is proud to support the Florida AIDS Walk by the formation of a team of walkers consisting of Sidelines staff members, loyal customers, and friends eager put a stop to new HIV infections and to provide care for the people who are now living with HIV/AIDS. The Florida AIDS Walk will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2008 from Huizenga Plaza in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Registration opens at 8:00 AM, the Opening Ceremony will be at 9:15 AM, and the Walk begins promptly at 10:00 AM.

Team Sidelines is being captained by Jay Rinaldi, a Sidelines’ bartender, who has participated in the AIDS Walk for several years. When the owners of Sidelines asked for volunteers to help the effort, Jay was the first to offer his assistance and took charge by putting together a team. He has also committed to be at the club on his days off to solicit donations from his favorite customers. Other Team Sidelines members participating in this effort include some of your favorite Sidelines’ employees, bartenders, bar backs, and managers, as well as friends and family of the popular sports bar.

On Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sidelines Sports Bar will host the Florida AIDS Walk “Early Check-in and Registration” event, whereby walkers can register or sign-in early for the Walk and avoid the early morning heat and expected long lines on Sunday, April 27th. Organizers from the Florida AIDS Walk will be on hand to facilitate the registration and check-in; Sidelines Sports Bar is offering a FREE drink (well-branded cocktail or domestic draft beer) for all walkers registering or checking in early that day.
